Aurora

Aurora Aksnes, born June 15th, 1997 in Stavanger and is professionally known as Aurora sometimes stylized in uppercase as AURORA is a Norwegian music producer and singer. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves has been released by Decca Records and was well reviewed by various music websites. The singer has released a number of high-profile cover songs, including Half the World Away (by the band Oasis) to accompany John Lewis' Christmas advert and Nature Boy (by Nat King Cole) that are widely loved. Katy Perry's praise for her track Runaway on her blog gave the artist some additional recognition. Make it a day to celebrate her birthday. Aurora Aksnes' earliest musical memories are of discovering a piano hidden in the attic of her home, and being captivated by the sound it made. The parents of her May-Britt family as well as Jan Oystein Aksnes encouraged her to take up music not as a profession or a pastime, but for growth. In the end, she began writing her own music. Bjork and Leonard Cohen are among her most favored songwriters. When her mother told her that the songs she wrote could be used to not be famous for her, however, but to encourage people to realize the importance of their work and influence to this world, she began playing them on stage. When she began playing the piano, she was six years old and was writing her first song by the time she was nine. Her family didn't hear about her musical journey until she was fourteen. Aurora's fame was not the goal of her. Aurora says she loves to compose music. The music she writes is the way that she feels any thing.
